There's more to fashion than just an appeal to the eyes. It includes suitability to occasion, time of day, weather condition and comfort. For any outfit you put on or wishes to go out in, you may need to find out if it meets the above criteria if you want to 'stay in fashion'. This is no hard and fast rule though.
